Wednesday, April 19- Jingzou- a little overcast but 28 later in the day. Up at 7 and down for breakfast at 7:30. Later today we will check into our cruise on the Yantzee river. Outside of the hotel, a wedding car is nicely decorated with a row of flowers. I guess we just missed the groom and we leave before the bride arrives. Too bad.

Beautifully decorated wedding car.
Our first stop is at the original wall surrounding Jingzou.

The Pagoda on the wall.

Little girl that I couldn't resist. Cutie

Which one is the real warrior?

Armand on his mount.

The Wall

The river near the Wall

A peddler selling souvenirs near the Wall.

Our second stop is at a museum. There are many artifacts here but the most amazing is of a well preserved mummy dating back a thousand years plus.

This is not yet the old mummy...

The building housing the mummy.

The mummy and his innards.

Photos of the first examination.

This guy was not impressed with us. Sharon tried to pay him for taking his picture. He wanted nothing to do with her.
It's lunch time again. After this meal it's off to visit a farmer's home. It was not at all what we anticipated.

On our drive to the farm. I guess this is recycled cardboard.

Older woman just sitting and resting I guess.

Front door of the farmer's house. These farmers are very well off.

Lady we met while walking to the farmer's house. Cutie.

Game of Mah Jong

Farmland

pond with ducks

Card game. Same room as Mah Jong game. This was all on our walk to the farmer's house. It was a weird visit. In and out of the house without seeing a garden.

We load the bus and drive to where the cruise ship was docked. The boat is called the Yantzee Golden 8.

Our entrance to the ship.

The wading pool on the back of the cruise ship. What a joke.

A look at part of our room.

More ships on the Yantzee

Chandelier from the center of the ship. There are 280 people booked but the ship can accommodate 350. There are also 150 crew members. Our room is on the 3rd floor and there are 6 floors in total. The bar, dance floor, and hang out area is on the 5th floor. The dining room is on the 2nd floor.
There is an information meeting at 5:20 where some crew members are introduced and an informal greeting is done. Not much is said about an emergency exercise. Dinner is buffet style and starts at 6:30. Different groups have different start times. (15 minute interval) This is to prevent everyone arriving at the same time. Some people are still rude and try to cut in front of others. We sit with our regular group. Some people have purchases a booze (beer or wine) package. Ron and I don't bother. After supper some people go up to the bar/dance area. There is a DJ and some passengers get up to dance. Some crew members are also dancing. We are back in our room around 9pm. I wash some clothes, shower and in bed by 10pm.
