Saturday, November 12

Woke up to a beautiful morning we went out around seven to check things out and to take a walk. Not as many clouds as usual and sun is already feeling warm. We get back at 8:15 and go for breakfast about 30 minutes later. Our Italians neighbours were there so we sat with them to eat and catch up with our days yesterday. They went on a tour to Chichen Itza! A place where we went the last time that we were here. They loved that part of it, but they, like us, don't enjoy the big groups. They went to a cenote a.so and they said that it was not like the other ones, it was not clear and it was overcrowded. We decide to hang out at the beach together and go on a snorkelling tour. Around 1pm, the three of them heD out to go snorkelling. I will stay behind and watch over our things and plus I've been out twice already. This is their first time. I lie on my towel and read for two hours straight. I'm lying under a palm tree, so I do have some shade. They return around 2:45. They saw a nurse shark, a large Manta ray, and of course lots of other fish. They are happy. We then sit, chat and buy some fruit (frutas) from one of the venders who is here every day.
Maria-Helena and Luigi with their fruit.

Ron and I with our fruits. I am eating coconut.

Photo bombed by Luigi.

Cool fish. Wish we knew it's name

He couldn't get pictures of the Manta ray as it was swimming away.
This is the nurse shark that they saw.

Tonight, Ron and I had a decision to make as this would be our last supper here. We chose a fish place, for me mostly. Ron had shrimp. It was good. We then walked around and in the town square and then back to our place. We wanted to print our boarding passes and the owner, Miguel, had said that he would do that for us. Miguel as out, but his brother Luis, who just arrived today, was more than happy to do that for us. We are all set for tomorrow night. Our flight is at 7:40. We still have most of the day tomorrow. Our friends are returning to Italy tomorrow night as well. All for tonight.
