Sunday, November 13

Our last day in Puerto Morelos and it's sunny and warm. We went for our last walk on the beach and Ron took a sun rising photo and one with the town sign. We are able to keep our room until we leave at 4:00 as they will be renovating it so no more rentals for 3 days. This works out perfectly. After we leave, our Italian friends will stay in our room until they leave at 7:00. We will be heading to the beach soon for some snorkelling and swimming.

Stayed at the beach until 3 pm, then off Ron and I went to get showered up and finish our packing. We got  to the airport with 3 hrs to spare. When we reach the agent to sent our luggage off, he asked us for our return flight information. We tell him that we don't have it as we are flying standby but we can get it online. Sorry, no Internet in the airport. What? He tells us to find a West Jet employee to get our info. We are starting to panic as our search leaves us empty handed. No WJ in this terminal. Just then, Ron says:" don't we have a print out of our flight information?" Good question. I start the search and sure enough, we have it. One panic attack subsided. We return to the same agent and get checked in. Now we have a little over 2:30 hrs left. We go through security and of course I'm always the one who sends off the alarms. But wait, nothing. The light stays green as I go through the  screening. That has never happen to me since my knee surgery. Ron said that it was probably because they are so far advanced with their technology that they don't bother with artificial joints anymore. HA! We grab a bite to eat at Bubba Gumps where we ate the last time we were here with the gang almost two years ago. We are boarded and ready for takeoff around 8pm, a few minutes late. It was smooth sailing all the way. This is a no frills airline. The only thing that's free is the water and the use of the toilets. We get through customs in about 20 minutes, pick up our luggage and are sitting in a cab about 5 minutes later. It takes about 20 minutes to get to our hotel but if we had been driving it might have taken double the time. The taxi driver was going for a world record. I'm glad that I sitting behind him so that I couldn't see the speedometer. We are in our room now and we look forward to seeing what tomorrow will bring. Didn't see on the drive as it is  dark tonight even with the almost full moon. Good night all.
