We landed at 8:10, then waited about 20 minutes for a bus to take us to Syracuse. André met us at the bus stop one hour later. We then walked over the bridge to get back to Ortigia as it is a little island next to Syracuse. André and Wendy have been living here for almost 6 weeks. We meet up with Wendy at the market. What a great place. Wendy and André walk through here everyday to buy their veggies, fruits, bread, and cured meats. It’s pretty awesome. The vendors recognize them.
Really nice guy. Of course he was doing a good job selling cheese.

We walk back to their place where we sit and chat for a bit. Wendy is still working so I do a wash and we wait for her to take her lunch break. We head back out for a lunchtime walk. It’s nice and sunny and we are walking around in our T-shirt’s.We return to make a nice salad for lunch. So great to have more than 3 ingredients in our salad. We have fresh bread as well. Ron and André also have leftover pasta.
Such clear water
Hanging out with awendy and André for the next week.
André, Ron, and I went out for a tour of a Jewish bath that
existed three or four years years after Christ. We were not allowed to take pictures but it was very cool. We had a guide giving us the details. Then we walked the streets before returning to get Wendy for a pre supper walk.

Had a nice dinner with André and Wendy at home but before we went out for pre dinner spritz. There was a two for one at this one place so we stayed there. Dinner was chicken curry that André made. We had some red wine to go along with supper. We then decided to go for a walk. Of course we .passed by a gelataria and had to drop in. Wendy and I had a chocolate pistachio and André had a pistachio and hazelnut. Ron shared with me, as usual.
We are back now and doing our own thing on our devices.
